Deputy Governor Martins Babale says so far, the State has not recorded any report on Human Right Violations by any displaced persons or people against the Army in the state. 


He stated this when he received a Committee set aside by Chief of Army Staff Leiutenant General Tukur Buratai to look into the alleged report by Amnesty International on Human Rights Violations in the country led by the Brigade Commander Brigadier General Benson Akinroluyo.


Babale describe their relationship with the Army as cordial and commended the Nigeria Army in their fight against the insurgency. The Deputy Governor assured the committee members of Government's support to enable them succeed in their assignments.


Earlier speaking the leader of the delegation led by Major General Attahiru Jibril retired said the committee was set aside by the Chief of Army Staff to basically go around to IDPs Camp to investigate the alleged violations and  abuses of human right by some Army Officers in their operations in fighting insurgency


Jibril noted that they were in Maiduguri and Damaturu on same mission and had assured that they will ensure they do justice by coming out with positive results at the end of their findings. He then thanked the Deputy  Governor for the reception given to them.
