NEWS: SSANU & NASU ENDS OVER 5 MONTHS STRIKE

The  Senior Staff  Association of Nigeria University  (SSANU) and Non Academic Staff Union ( NASU ) of the Adamawa state University Mubi  have call - off  their industrial  action  with immediate effect. 

 This  follows the  signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Members of the  visitation  panel  headed by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Barr. Bala Silas Sanga  and  members of the Senior Staff Association  and the Non Academic Staff  of the University. 

The  Chairman of the visitation  panel  who signed on behalf of the Adamawa State Government   while Comrade James Kwabe Fwa of SSANU  and Comrade Zakariya Buba of  NASU  who signed  on behalf of their Unions says with the signing of the  Memorandum of Understanding, the over five months  strike  action has come to  an end .

According to Barrister Bala Sanga, by signing the  Legal document, academic  activities will commence in earnest  at the University and business  will be  as usual.

He thanked the  Management and  staff of the institution  for their cooperation and  understanding. 

In their remarks the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria University  (SSANU ) Comrade James Kwale Fwa and Comrade Zakariya  Buba  of Non  Academic staff Union appreciated the efforts of the Adamawa state Government for  its concern  and commitment  by ensuring that the  University  has reopen for academic activities  for the better  and  urged the  government  side to respect the  terms of agreement  signed  with the respective unions  for the overall development of Adamawa state.
