The Adamawa state Government is to construct and equipped Accident and Emergency Ward as well as to provide Fifteen Mortuary Fridges for the Mubi General Hospital.
Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla disclosed this at a ceremony to receive Hospital Equipments being Donated by MTN Foundation held at the premises of the Mubi General Hospital recently.
The Governor appreciated effort of MTN and other Non Governmental Organisations in rendering humanitarian services to compliment government gesture especially in providing Health Care services to the people of Adamawa state.
In her remarks at the occasion, the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Health, Dr Fatima Atiku Abubakar commended MTN Foundation for their humanitarian assistance to the people of Adamawa state.
Dr. Fatima Atiku pointed out that the donation had came at the right time as Mubi serves as a transit camp for returning Internally Displaced Persons from Cameroon, Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo.
While presenting the Equipments the representative of the MTN Foundation Mr. Victor Orientation Ononogbu said the Mubi and Ganye General Hospitals were simultaneously receiving the Hospital Equipments ,stressing that the emergency situation is very pathetic hence the need for the donation.
In his vote of thanks the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu had thanked the MTN and other donor agencies such as Red Cross ,and Red Crescent societies and International Rescue Committee for their kind gesture by coming to the aids of the Internally Displaced persons and other vulnerable in the society.
