STATE BROADCAST BY HIS EXECLLENCY SENATOR MUHAMMED UMAR JIBRILLA ON THE OCCASSION OF THE 57TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS ON THE 1ST OF OCTOBER, 2017.

Fellowow  Citizens of Adamawa state, permit me to  sincerely  felicitate with  you all on the occassion of our 57th  Years as an Independent  Nation .We  have  every  reason to  express  gratitude to  God Almighty for keeping us together  as a Nation  despite  all the  challenges of  Nationhood. I Know that we are passing  through  difficult  times today especially  with regards to  hard economic challenges and  disturbing  Agitations  leading to  Hate Speeches  and even  attempts to  create  unwanted  crisis,  But we will  not allow  them succeed  in reversing the  gains we have already  achieved. 

Happily , God in his infinite mercy  has helped us  overcome  our  security  challenges,  thanks to the  commitment of  President Muhammadu Buhari  and the gallant  fighting  forces of the Federation. 

On our part,  We have succeeded within the last Two  Years to upgrade our physical  Infrastructure,  Improve  social  service delivery and restore  confidence in the  governance process. But we are not done yet .By the special grace of Almighty  God,  We shall continue to  provide  you with the  Dividends of Democracy  in keeping with  our mandate  and support all  government  operations  including  our obligations to  pay our Civil Servants  their Salaries  as at when due. 

Finally, as we  Celebrate  57th  Years of  our Independence  as a Nation,  let me join all well meaning Nigerians to call on all of us to rededicate  ourselves  to the  principles of Peace, Peaceful  Co-existence, Unity and  Development  of  our dear State and Country.
