The Adamawa State RAMP in conjunction with Adamawa State Project Implementation Unit SPIU today flag off the maintenance group of the first phase and pilot roads of RAMP roads in Adamawa State. 

The Project Coordinator RAMP Adamawa State, Engr Abbas Mohammed Adamu in his media brief states that objective of the training is to equipped the maintenance groups with knowledge, skills and relevant practical experience required to carry out road maintenance activities and manage co-operative Group effectively and efficiently, in other to ensure that the conditions of the rural roads are sustained and improved with a minimal cost as well as creating employment and income for the rural poor.

The second Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP-2) is a world Bank and French Development Agency assisted project in support of the implementation of the Federal Government of Nigeria's Rural Travel and Transport Policy (RTTP) in conjunction with Adamawa State Government. The Project is being implemented by the Adamawa State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU).

The training was held at Koh Primary School, Girei Local Government Area of the state.
