The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved the sum of Five Hundred and Forty -Six Million Naira (N546,000,000) for the rehabilitation of Jimeta and Yola Water treatment plants to supply portable drinking Water to the people of State .
This was disclosed by the Honourable Commissioner of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh along side Commissioners of Water Resources Abubakar Ahmed Rufai, Education Mr. Julius Kadala , and commissioner of Health Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar who briefed Journalists at the end of the Tenth State Executive Council meeting presided over by the Deputy Governor Engineer Martins Babale at the Council Chambers of the Government House ,Yola.
According to the Commissioner , this is to argument Government's commitment on the supply of portable drinking Water to the people of Jimeta ,Yola and it's environs .
On the Health sector , the Health Commissioner, Dr Fatima Atiku explained that the Ministry would redistributes mosquito nets to the Areas not supplied earlier in view of its importance against malaria disease.
The EXCO also discussed on how to improves the standard of Education , explained that the Ministry of Education would access funds from UBEB headquarters Abuja in order to improve the standard of Teachers and Teaching materials in the state.
