The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has commended the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa for prudent management of the nation’s resources and dint of hard work since his appointment.

The National President of the Association, Alhaji Shehu Usman gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy call on the Permanent Secretary in his office, Garki,Abuja.

In his words: “Your new position did not come by accident.Indeed, it is a product of hard work, determination and dedication to duty. We are also impressed with the way you have been managing the nation’s resources in a prudent manner. We are happy that our member is occupying such an enviable position.”

The President used the occasion to appeal to the Permanent Secretary to use his good offices to ensure that ANAN members who are in the employment payroll of the Federal Capital Territory and some States are placed on grade level 10 in line with the approval of the National Council on Establishment in 2008.

He said: “As a respected and dedicated member of the Association, we implore you to use your good offices to assist us to ensure that ANAN Members in FCT and many States are placed on Grade Level 10 according to the approval of the National Council on Establishment in 2008.”

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, charged the Association to key into the Change Agenda of President Muhammadu  Buhari of ensuring that Nigeria is corruption free, adding that the President has good intentions for the country.

The Permanent Secretary assured the Association that both organizations would continue to partner together for the development and progress of the country.

Sir Ohaa who charged the Association to do their job professionally, harped on the need for the Association to ensure that every member of ANAN is a University graduate.

He further remarked that he has always strived to be a thoroughbred accountant knowing full well that he would be made to account for his stewardship before God in due time.
