The Adamawa State Government has Budgeted the sum of Two Hundred and Thirty Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty -Nine Million, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy Five Naira ( N 230,989,412,375.00) Only for its Recurrent and Capital Expenditure the financial year of 2019.
Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla who presented the appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly for consideration, explained that the objectives of the Budget is to bring development closer to the door steps of the masses at the grassroots.
Tagged " BUDGET OF NEXT LEVEL " , the Governor said that the Document was prepared in such a way that development should be extended to all the nooks and crannies of Adamawa State in order to touch the lives of the people of Adamawa State for the better.
Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla also explained that since 2015, his Government has given priority in social sectors including Education, Health care Delivery, Agriculture, Works, and Water supply.
He also revealed that out of the N103,495,235,575.00 representing Forty-five per cent is for Recurrent Expenditure while N127,494,176,800.00 representing Fifty -Five per cent for the Capital Expenditure, stressing that the details of the Budget will be announced by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Finance and Budget, Mahmud Sali Yunusa.
Governor Muhammad Jibrilla use the forum to thanked members of the State House of Assembly for their support and cooperation being given to his administration in an efforts to improve the well-being of the citizens of Adamawa State.
While receiving the 2019 Appropriation Bill, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, RT. Honourable Kabiru Mkjinyawa thanked Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla for the presentation and assured that the Appropriation Bill will be given due attention for the overall development of the people of Adamawa State.
