Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla has presided over the swearing in ceremony of Alhaji Hayatu Nura as Auditor General for Local Government Audit.

At a  ceremony held at the Council Chambers of the Government House Yola, the Governor urged the new Auditor General to be more dedicated to his duties.

He described the job of Auditors as critical and urged him to be diligent and consider the Oath taken as he will be accountable of his stewardship before Almighty. 

In a remark, the  Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, Dr.Umar Buba Bindir appealed to the new  Auditor General to work in harmony with the other relevant Financial  sectors for the improvement of the state and reminded him to be loyal and accountable. 

Responding, the newly sworn in Auditor General for Local Government, Alhaji Hayatu Nura appreciated the Governor for finding him worthy of the appointment and assured the Governor of his loyalty,Support,and cooperation to the present Government under Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla at all times.

He commended the Governor for  approving new salary scale for Local Government Auditors and said the gesture has helped in boosting the morals of the staff of the Department.

The swearing in ceremony was administered by the Adamawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Bala Silas Sanga.

Meanwhile, Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla has continued to receive groups, that came to the Government house to assure him of their support during the forthcoming Governorship election in the state .

A group of people from the Mayo Belwa extraction, led by Salihu Bawuro said they were at the government house to show their solidarity and support to the APC led administration in the Adamawa state.

He explained that  this has become neccessary considering the infrastructural development providedirector by the present Government under Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla. 

While responding Governor Jibrilla told the people that road leading to Binyeri has been awarded and said work will commence as soon as he returns for second term.
