BREAKING NEWS: His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Appoints Chief of Staff.

In continuation with appointment of strategic officers in to his administration, the Executive Governor, Adamawa State, Alh. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the appointment of Professor Maxwell Gidado as the Chief of Staff, Government House Yola.

In a press statement signed by the Director General, Media and Communication in the Government House, Solomon Kumangar and made available to Journalists said that the University Don has brings to the job over thirty years of experience in lecturing and public service.

The statement further said that until the appointment of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), he was the Dean Faculty of Law, Nasarawa State University and his appointment is with immediate effect.

The SAN obtained Master of Law (LLM) Degree and Ph.D. from University of War Wick in England. He became a Professor of Law in 2011 at Department of Private and Business Law, Nasarawa State University.

Other positions Prof. Gidado held before his appointment include among others: Senior Special Assistant Legal and Constitutional Matters to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from 1999 to 2003 and 2003 to 2007 respectively, he was Secretary Presidential Committee on Review of 1999 Constitution from1999 to 2001, a former Assistant Director (Academic) at the Nigeria Law School Bwari from January 1999 to June 1999 and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Adamawa State from 1995 to 1997.

The Professor was decorated with National honour of the Officer of the Order of Republic of Equatorial Guinea (ORG) in 2004 and he was the Best Student of University of Maiduguri at 1984 Convocation Ceremony and several awards.
