In its fight against insecurity in the State, Adamawa State Police Command has today being the 19th of June, 2019 arrested 21 suspected kidnappers as well as 65 members of the dreaded "Shila Boys" that have been terrorizing the state capital.

In a press briefing at the Police Headquarters Yola,  the Commissioner of Police, CP Audu A Madaki noted that the move was in line with the IGPs initiative to provide watertight security across the nation.

Items recovered from the suspects according to Madaki include; 5 AK 47 rifles, 18 cartridges, and two hundred and seventy-six rounds of live ammunition.

Others are; 10 cutlasses, 18 knives, 17 scissors, 95 handsets/accessories, 9 computer laptops, 9 gallons of suck and die chemicals, 80 rounds of Indian hemp, seven bottles of Exzol/Passion/Diazepam hard drugs as well as charms.

The CP noted that the success recorded is as the results of consistent and indefatigable effort put up by the command culminating to constant patrol and raiding of criminal hideouts and black spots in all the 21 Local Governments of the state.

“As the operational strategies continued, the command recorded tremendous achievements through the sacrifices of some gallant officers in the command who dislodged criminals in their hideouts,” he said.
