NEWS:BATCO GROUP SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH ADAMAWA STATE GOVT.

A giant construction firm, Batch Group CMC Africa Limited has seeks partnership with Adamawa State Government in construction of projects in the State.

The firm which has some Italian subsidiaries to include EMIT and LAVAJET has said to have executed successfully some projects in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Ukraine, United Arab Emirate, Italy, Egypt among others.

In his remark at the Council Chamber, Government House Yola, the Director Batco Group CMC Africa Limited, Mr. Fady Sfeir said they were at the Government House to woo Adamawa State Government to enable them partner with the State in construction projects.

Mr Sfeir whose firm is said to be Lebanon based, was optimistic that the Batco Group will gain recognition by the Adamawa State Government to contract them in construction of laudable projects that Governor Fintiri will soon embark upon. 

Presenting before some Government officials on power point the tract record of Batco Group, a stakeholder in the firm, Mr. Mark Sfeir  outlined that the construction firm specialized in: water and water waste in which they carried out water treatment, waste water treatment, industrial waste treatment, compost plant and waste-to-energy while in solid waste, they specialized in collection, city cleaning, landfills, sorting and treatment plants and C & D treatment plant and in construction work, they specialized in bridges and underpasses, highways, tunnels, water dams, marine works and solid waste landfills. 

While responding to the presentation by the Batco Group, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri applauded the presentation and thanked the firm for selecting Adamawa State to benefit from their giant construction work.

There was session for questions and answers at the end of the presentation in which the firm ensured that about 80 to 90 Adamawa indigenes will make up the workforce of a contract it won and some will be trained in different field of construction.
