Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth has enjoined all sons and daughters of the Numan federation to always foster unity among themselves and contribute their quota to Nation building.

 

The Deputy Governor made the call at a Dinner organized by the Numan Federation Foundation (NUFF) held at Galaxy Hotel, Numan to honour elected representatives of the federation. He said this is imperative owing to the enormous potentials that abound in the zone.

Chief Crowther Seth said the Numan federation has been a sleeping giant for too and attributed this to the lack unity among it's people. He also also called on all elected officials and leaders of the zone to strive to unite it's people as this is the only panacea to real development in the zone. Chief Crowther thanked the people for giving their Government as well as all their elected officials from the zone an opportunity to serve and promised not to disappoint them

The Deputy Governor reiterated the commitment of the Governor Fintiri-led administration to ensuring security of lives and property in the zone. He therefore called on them to support the administration by shunning all vices that will bring divisions and led to insecurity is counterproductive, adding that security agencies are working tirelessly and in synergy to completely wiped out insurgency in the state.

Earlier in his address the Senator representing the Southern Senatorial District in the State Rev. Binos Yero who identified himself a son of the Numan federation thanked all the people for rallying around him before, during and after his election. He declared his determination to work with other law makers to formulate laws that will mitigate disenfranchisement of the zone, Adamawa State and the North-northeast.

In their separate remarks member representing Numan, Demsa and Lamurde in the Federal constituency, Hon. Kwamati Laori, who was represented, Adamawa State Deputy Speaker who is the member representing Numan constituency Hon. Mackondo Pwamwakaino, Hon Pawikai Bauna and Hon. Kate Mamuno (represented) Members representing Lamurde and Demsa constituencies respectively in the Adamawa State House of Assembly promised to be the voices of the people.

In his welcoming address the President of the Numan Federation Foundation (NUFF), Mr. Maliki Daniel went down memory lane, recounting the struggles of the foundation over the years and how it is beginning to yield results. He said that the people of zone have been marginalized by previous administrations despite the enormous capacities that abound and prayed the present administration to consider giving them chance to prove their onions. 

He also reiterated that Numan Federation has come together in order to foster and strengthen their togetherness for the purpose of promoting their sub- regional interest, unity, peace, wellbeing and the preservation of culture and dignity of their people.

Mr Aliki further appeal to the federal government to commence the reconstruction, rehabilitation and reconciliation of areas where herdsmen and communal crisis has caused destruction of lives and property.

The Dinner was well attended by elected officials, traditional leaders, officials of the NUFF, Community Stakeholders and the Press. A minute silence was for fallen comrades in the struggle Major. Dubi, Chief Sam Zadok among others who gave their lives fighting for the emancipation of their people.
