This was disclosed by the  Deputy Governor, Chiefs Crowther Seth at the Opening Ceremony of  2020 Humanitarian Program Cycle State- Level consultations organized by  United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at American University of Nigeria AUN, Yola.

The Deputy Governor reiterated that Adamawa State has a multi- dimensional crises ranging from Boko- Haram insurgency, Farmer/Headers clashes, Kidnapping and Flood disaster. He also said the current administration under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is ever ready to partner with UN and other partners to respond to the needs of its citizens in crises situation through provision of food and non- food items such as Education, Health, Shelter and Psycho- Social Support.

Earlier, The Head of Coordination Unit United Nation (UN) Mr. Vincent Omega said the workshop is aimed at bringing together technical representatives from State Government Sectors, UN Agencies, INGOs, NGOs/CSOs and other stake holders to reflect on changes in the humanitarian conditions of the affected people in 2019 and possible evolution in 2020.

Mr. Omega also said the workshop is to build consensus on joint inter-sectoral analysis of the humanitarian situation and identify the priority needs of the affected people and most vulnerable groups to inform response planing for 2020, adding that  UN and other partners are working tirelessly in Borno Adamawa and Yobe States to help the women, children and men who have been forced to flee their homes as a result of conflict as well as the communities that host and support them.
