The Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the construction and rehabilitation of 281kilimetres road across the state.
A statement which was signed by the Director-General Media and Communication Government House Yola, Mr. Solomon Kumangar said that 15 rural roads will have a new facelift in order to enhance economic activities in the state.
The statement partly read; “The Adamawa State Governor has in line with his 11-point agenda, approved the awards of contracts for the rehabilitation/construction of 281 kilometres of rural roads”.
The roads to be constructed/rehabilitated are: Konan Yaji-Mijiwana-Gilanbara- Amalur, Hong-Mijili-Kuvagaya, Wurobokki-Uding-Pella, Longa-Ewa-Wuro Abbo-Wuro Yombe and Numan/Biu road junction-Bare.
Others in the list are: Kola junction-Boshikiri (Dumna ward) Shelleng Bakta, Yolde Pate prison-Yadim, Gurin Falingo, Parda-Muninga roads and Toungo-Kiri roads
While Daba-Mayo Belwa, Bole wire-Ndikong, Ngurore/Mayo Belwa road junction-Gongoshi, Ribawo junction-Muchalla and Mayo Nguli-Manjeken-Salama completed the list.
The statement further said that a date for the flag-off of the road projects will be announced soon.
