NEWS;NBA, Adamawa State Chapter Commences 2019 Law Week.

The State Chapter of NBA have Commence its annual Law Week/Late Hon. Justice Buba Ardo Memorial Lecture on Monday, 2nd of December 2019 at Women Empowerment & Education Initiative 80 Unit, Jimeta-Yola.

This year's theme is " The Law, The Land and Its Future". 

while declaring the ceremony open, the Ex. Gov. of the State, Ahmadu Fintiri who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Maxwel Gidado SAN, said;

 "This administration is committed in making some reforms to ensure efficiency, probity and accountability in the Civil Service. We will continue to make new policies that will strengthen good governance and effective service delivery in our Civil Service. Very soon we will embark on massive infrastructural development both in rural and urban areas in the State.."

In the Judicial sector, he said "we are determined to uphold and promote the rule of law, respect the independence of our Judiciary and ensure access to justice to all in the State".

Barr. Aji Bubakari, Chairman NBA Yola Branch in his address said;

" The Law Week traditionally affords the Bar, the Bench, critical sectors and other stakeholders the opportunity for  and to ruminate on national issues particularly those that affect the Justice Sector." 

He also ephasised on the need to promote and protect the rule of Law in all its ramification.

Justice Danladi Moh'd, Hon. Justice A.A Waziri, Hon. Justice A A Lagre, Hon. Justice  Andrew Balami, Hon Justice B. L Ikcharo. Grand Kadi Sharia Court of Appeal, Barr. Chris Cromwell, Barr. Ananze Astienti. Barr. Y M Daniel, Hon. Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Chairman NBA, Members of the State Assembly, and others.

Highlights of the Occasion includes paper presentations, a visit to the State Orphanage, annual Bar Dinner and presentation of Award at AUN Club, Yola.
