NEWS;Gov Fintiri Swears-In 50 Dev Area Administrators

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn-in fifty Development Area Administrators appointed by his Government at the Mahmud Ribado Square Yola.

 

 

 

The Adamawa State Governor congratulated the administrators and enjoined them to realize the enormous challenges they are to face in their respective communities most of which have been ravaged by insecurity and under-development.

 

 

 

Governor Fintiri charge the newly sworn-in State Development Area Administrators to address the immediate need of their communities in line with the 11-Point Agenda of his administration while admonishing them to work closely with their mother Local Government Councils to avoid duplications and overlap of functions.

 

 

 

The number one citizen of the state call on the administrators to ensure zero tolerance for corruption.

“I enjoin you to strictly observe the financial regulations guiding your day-to-day operations and ensure zero tolerance for corruption” Governor Fintiri said. “Let me hasten to say that any council official or administrator who runs contrary to these guidelines, should have himself to blame”.

 

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri further call on the development Area Administrators not to engage in unhealthy rivalry with mother councils but concentrate on security and developments of their communities.

 

 

 

 “You should also remain conscious of the fact that this Government enjoys the support and confidence of the masses of Adamawa State and we will not to let them down” Governor Fintiri added.

 

 

 

Earlier, the State Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister A. T. Shehu has said that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has fulfilled his promises to work with the masses at the grass root by appointing the State Development Area administrators. 

 

 

 

He urge the newly sworn-in administrators to work for the masses and ensure they carry party faithful along while enjoining the party faithful to support the administrators in discharging their responsibilities.

 

 

 

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the sworn-in Administrators, the Administrator  Yola Central Development Area, Mr. Martin Madanga thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru for finding them worthy to serve Adamawa people at the grass root. He pledged their loyalty and support to the administration of Governor Fintiri and assured to extend the 11-point agenda of the present administration to the grass roots.
