Governor
Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in thirty-four of his appointed Special
Advisers in an unusual grand ceremony, observing COVID-19 protocol at
the Banquet Hall Government House Yola.
The ATM Governor
equally sworn in four Board Chairmen and their members which include
Adamawa State Planning Commission, Universal Basic Education Board,
Adamawa Primary Health Care Development Agency and Hospital Service
Management Board.
Delivering his speech at the ceremony,
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri reminds the newly sworn in Special
Advisers and Chairmen with their Board Members of their coming to serve
people of Adamawa with their good ideas and intelligence. Adding that
their ideas and intelligence will help to build Adamawa of their dream. He assured them all necessary support that will help them succeed in their responsibilities.
Governor
Fintiri said that he will continue running a transparent and open
Government while calling on people of the State who have valuable ideas
to not hesitate to table them before him reiterating his open doors
always for valuable advices. He said that his Government is
that encompasses all which was why it carefully selected among the
abundant human resources in Adamawa- men and women of integrity- who
knows the responsibility before them.
Governor Fintiri therefore charged them to serve the State diligently.
“You
are not coming for an opportunity to fill your pocket; you are coming
for an opportunity to serve and deliver the good people of this State.
And, you are coming at the right time” Governor Fintiri stated.
In
a vote of thanks, Chief Joel Hammanjoda Madaki who spoke on behalf of
the sworn in Special Advisers and Chairmen and Board members, thanked
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for finding them worthy to serve Adamawa
State. The former Adamawa State People’s Democratic Party
Chairman promised their loyalty to Governor Fintiri led administration
and not to disappoint the confidence the Governor has on them.
Those
sworn in as Special Advisers are Chief Joel Hammanjoda Madaki (Chief
Adviser), Madam Martina Abba, Peter Dilli, Barr. Musa Kaibo, Hilda
Makanto mni, Bala Buba Jada, Idris Salihu Jada, Tijjani Marksha, Haruna
Ibrahim, Muhammed Musa, Bamanga Yahya Nuhu, Gana Richard and Medan Fwa
mni.
Others are Rev Kallamu Joshua, Engr. Belmont Dogo, Rahap
Audi Nyayebo, Umar Mohammed Gabdo, Pentecost Agiso, Hon. Usman Abdullah,
Alvari Gundiri and Comrade Senebi Hungyapuko.
Also sworn in
as Special Advisers are Augustine James, Hon. Jibrin Usman, Hon. Tsisi
Ganama, Habila Sini, Dr. Robert Gulkawi, Hon. Aminu Buba Sebore, Hon.
Abdulrahaman Bobboi, Halilu Hammawa Malabu, Hannatu Kadala, Bashir
Tukur, Mallam Ali Mamman, Halilu Lamu and Mohammed Yakubu.
While
those sworn in as Board Chairmen and Members for Adamawa State
Planning Commission: Mary Paninga as Chairman while representative of
Local Government Chairmen, Labour Union representative, Employers’
representative, Dahiru Gambo, Ibrahim Gisilambe, Hon. Commissioner of
Finance, Hon. Commissioner of Agriculture, Hon. Commissioner of Works,
Hon. Commissioner of Justice and Hon. Commissioner of Commerce and
Industry will serve as Members.
For Universal Basic Education
Board: Dr Salihi Atique was the Executive Chairman, Fadimatu Alfa and
Adiel Kurda were sworn in as member 1 and 11 respectively. Other members
are Representatives of Ministries of Finance, Education and Justice,
Parents Teachers Association PTA, Justina Shadrach (women
representative), Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT State Wing, FME
Inspectorate Division and Representatives of LGs Yola North and Toungo.
Also
sworn in as the Executive Chairman for Adamawa Primary Health Care
Development Agency was Dr. Bashir Suleiman while Adamu Simon, Harman
Umar Gombeh, Representatives of Ministries of Health, Finance and
Budget, Local Government Affairs and Information and Strategy as
members.
Dr. Zainab Kwanchi was sworn in as the Chairman
Hospital Services Management Board while the members are Ismaila Lukamso
B., Kadiri Mai, Dr. Martin Bimba and representatives of Ministries of
Finance and Budget, Health and Human Resources and Justice.
