NEWS UPDATE:STAKE HOLDERS MEETS, DELIBERATES ON CONSTRUCTION OF FLYOVERS IN ADAMAWA STATE.

Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Energy Development Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar hosted stake holders in order to make strategic decisions to enable the smooth   execution of the proposed Police Roundabout and Total Filling Station Junction flyovers in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area.

The deliberation started after the Project Manager of  TRIACTA NIG LTD displayed the video and animation of the proposed flyovers at the Ministry's Conference Hall today. However, several comments, observations and questions were raised by the Representatives of Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Police Force, Urban Planning, Gamzaki Traders Union etc.

 Responding, Honourable Adamu Atiku said that His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is always on his neck to make sure that the intended projects are started and completed within the stipulated time frame. He added that securities are going to be in all the nooks and crannies of the project sites to provide free flow of vehicles and safety of individuals.

Also, Hon. Atiku reiterated concern on how the projects are going to affect the state economically and otherwise. He made some corrections by adding some features and removing blockage of some roads in the design.

In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engineer Suleiman A. Mohammed added that illegal structures are going to be demolished, there is going to be a total closure of Gate 3 of Jimeta Ultra Mordern Market, ban on street trading along Moh'd Mustapha way and packing of vehicles and relocation of services possibly by the Urban Planning.

 In his closing remarks, Honourable Adamu Atiku Abubakar applauded the efforts of all the stake holders that honoured such a crucial meeting promised to constitutes committees for various scope of the work.
