Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reiterated that his administration will continue to provide needed infrastructure for the National Youth Service Corps permanent Orientation Camp in the State.

Governor Fintiri who condemned the recent looting in the State especially at the NYSC camp ground at Damare in Gurei LGA, described the looters as criminals who hide under the pretext of the #EndSARS protesters..

Responding while recieving delegation of NYSC National Governing Board members Monday in his office in Government House Yola, Governor Fintiri said Immediately after the Damare camp was damaged, his Government sworn into action by donating 1,000 mattresses and other materials which were hitherto not at the camp to enable youths who will be deployed for their mandatory one year service have conducive orientation camp.

Governor Fintiri noted the youths who will be deployed to the state will contribute to the growth of the GDP hence the need to fixed the camp accordingly.

He assured to continue to create synergy with the State Coordinator of the NYSC to develop the orientation camp. 

Ealier speaking, the Chairperson NYSC National Governing Board Ambassador, Fatima Abubakar said they were in Adamawa to inspect the NYSC permanent orientation camp which has been damaged by looters and assess the level of the damages.

She lauded  Governor Fintiri for fixing the camp after been damaged without been requested and for donating ambulance to NYSC.

The chairperson appealed to Governor Fintiri to replace the pavilion used at the orientaton camp which was damaged by windstorm during the last raining season and to upgrade the clinic at the camp.
