The Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Crowther Seth gave the commendation at the 24th Annual Convention of the Apostolic Church of Yola area, Lawna Territory and the Induction Service of Pastor Jethro Motojeshi Agunbiade as the 7th Yola Area Superintendent.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the occasion, the deputy Governor lauded Christian communities in the state, saying the re-election of Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza's led executives is a clear demonstration of their acceptance by Christiandom for their transparent and good leadership style.
Chief Seth however, congratulated the inducted 7th Apostolic Church Superintendent of Yola Area, and wished him more grace and strength to carry on with the service of God.
While encouraging Christians to shun any divisive tendencies, he called for unity and prayers for lasting peace and development in Adamawa.
The celebrant, Pastor Jethro Motojeshi Agunbiade in a remark appreciates God for making such a historic event possible, even as he thanked the State Government for gracing his induction. He thereafter, prayed God to give him strength and wisdom to achieve his purpose in life.
In a sermon titled "Behold, I will not fail, nor forsake thee", Pastor Elisha Oyediran Akinwole admonished the faithfuls to believe and trust in God.The preacher also advised Christians to fear God and live a holy and righteous life as enshrined in the scriptures.
Pastor Akinwole further advocates the need for the congregation to remain strong and inculcate the spirit of forgiveness.
