SPECIAL REPORT: State Government Commence Screening of 2000 Teachers in the State.

Today being 8 /4/2021, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has directed the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development under the leadership of the Hon. Commissioner, Mrs Wilbina Jackson, to commence screening exercise through appropriated aptitude test for the recruitment of 2000 teachers in the state.

The Permanent Haj. Aishatu Abubakar Umar is saddled with the responsibility of supervising the entire exercise while the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Mr Stephen Sunday is the Chairman of the Screening Committee with Alh. Bashir Tukur SSA to the Governor one Basic Education as member among others.

The Permanent Secretary was at the three designated centers  namely; General Murtala Muhammad College Yola (GMMC), Government Day Secondary School Karewa and Aliyu Musdafa College Yola (AMC) to ensure that the exercise starts and end successfully, she  ensured that all candidates abide by COVID 19 Protocols as well as security architecture was in order at the centers.

However, there were challenges interms of adequate class rooms to accommodate the applicants but then, in her magnanimity, the Permanent Secretary swiftly mobilize the Ministry 36 Seater bus to transport the remaining applicants to Karewa center being the closest and with available class rooms to accommodate the candidates, the Exams started at 1:30PM.

The Hon. Commissioner was at all the three centers to see for herself how the exercise was conducted. She was highly delighted with the way and manner the Permanent Secretary and the committee handled the exercise hitch free, she called on the applicants to have trust in the Fintiri administration as what is being experienced in terms of employment is just a tip of an ice berg compared to the plans that his administration holds for the Youths and the entire people of the State.

The Sarauniyan Lunguda  while addressing the candidates said,  the Governor has truly changed the narrative, as gone were the days when appointments are shared but today no matter how highly place one is, they have to  earn it though appropriated aptitude test. She therefore called on youths and parents to keep on supporting the Fintiri led administration for sustainable quality, free Education and Human Capital Development in the State.
