NEWS: Deputy Governor Receives a Delegation From The State Association of Dates, Farmers, Processors and Marketers of Nigeria.

The Association were at his office on a courtesy visit to intimate him on their activities and solicits for Government's assistance to achieve their set goal.

Addressing the officials in his office, Deputy Governor , Chief Crowther Seth said  such initiative is a welcome idea, saying the mission and vision of the association is in line with the people oriented program of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's led government.

Having said that the program will create job opportunity for teaming youths and boost the revenue base of Adamawa, the Deputy Governor assured of Government's support to achieve success.

State secretary of the Association, Hammanbello Gidado had earlier said they' ve identified with the Deputy Governor to inform him on their activities which centered on date farming, processing and marketing.

He said some of their aims is to promote the utilization of dates through local processing, generate more foreign exchange for the country and to advance high quality of dates product as well as encourage processing for domestic use and export among others.

Again, he  therefore, advocated for Government's financial assistance and the provision of piece of land across the 21 local council's to enable the association achieve its mandate.

The officials agreed that the program is capable of improving on the internally generated revenue of the state and reduce youths unemployment.

The Association of date farmers, processors and marketers of Nigeria, is out to promote domestication plantation and increase in production of high quality dates fruit products throughout Nigeria.
