Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth at the funeral service held at the deceased residence, urged the family to be strong and take solace in God for to him all shall return one day.


Sympathizing with the family and  the entire Numan Federation, Chief Crowther Seth reiterated the need for Christians to love, fear and return only to God, for to him all shall account his or her deeds.

He said the vacuum left by late Nelson Gilbert Ananze cannot be filled by anyone, describing him as a peace lover, mediator, gentleman to the core, humble, easy going who shows seriousness in everything he does.

The Deputy Governor reminded the living that life is short, urging individuals to seek their creator while they can and live a life pleasing to him so as to have eternal life.

The number two citizen of Adamawa therefore, described the demise of Nelson Gilbert Ananze as colossal loss, praying his spirit to be at peace with God.


In his sermon tagged "everything has its own time", Reverand Timothy Yunusa, said there is time to be born and the time to die, a time to celebrate and a time to moan, advising the congregation to live a holy life.

Taking scriptural reading from Ecclesiastes  3:1-4, the Clergyman drew the attention of Christian that "they are not of the world, but of God", hence the need to live peacefully and do away with sinful nature capable of separating them from their creator.

Late Nelson Gilbert Ananze attended Numan 2 primary school from 1965-1972 after which he proceeded to General murtala  Mohammed college in 1972-1977, before he went to university of Maiduguri where he obtained his degree certificate.

The deceased also proceeded for a post graduate Diploma in Journalism at the NUJ college Abuja. He started formal work with the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) in 1992 as Administrative Officer.

Late Ananze was born on the 11th day of September, 1958, died on the 12th day of January, 2022, leaving behind  brothers, sisters, cousins, nephew, nieces and relatives
