The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved the Reaward of Jebore Ward road in Girei Local Government Area. Briefing Government House Yola Press Crew after the first meeting of the EXCO for the year 2022 that was precided by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Commissioner, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Dr Umar Garba Pella disclosed that in the meeting, the State Executive Council has reviewed the situation of the state in line with the commitment of the Government to ensure that the state is developed.
According to Dr Pella, the EXCO has approved the Reaward of 2.5km Jibore Ward road in Girei LG to MSSR Triacta Nigeria Limited at the cost of one billion, four hundred and thirty five million, one hundred and twenty five thousand naira (N1,435,525,000), with 12 months contractual agreement of completion.
He explained that it is on record that the project was awarded to the same MSSR Triacta Nigeria Limited in 2017 but it was not implemented due to scarcity of resources and lack of political will.
The Information and Strategy Commissioner stated that because of the relevance and importance of the road for economic growth of the people, the present administration has reawarded the construction of the road.
