Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth stated this when he received a high powered delegation from the national Boundary commission in his office

Chief Crowther commended the efforts of the national boundary commission in handling border issues saying the task before them is great, urging them to handle it with all professionalism.

While appreciating the Commission for their tirelessly efforts towards maintenance of peace and stability across border communities, chief Seth revealed that security is one of Fintiri led Administration's top priority and will continue to ensure the peace and stability of the land.

In their separate remarks, the head of Department, Research and policy Analysis, National Boundary Commission, Barrister Amina Nyako and the State Chairman Boundary Commission, Surveyor Aliyu Ahmed Hong, said they were in the state for a town hall  meeting with members of the border communities in Adamawa and Gombe States.

They explained that  the essence of the meeting is to  interface by way of sensitizing and enlightening relevant stakeholders of the affected communities and local government areas on the boundary definition processes and to articulate views towards finding common ground preparatory to the physical demarcation of the interstate boundary of the two neighbouring states.

According to them their mission in Adamawa and Gombe is to acquire additional information, sensitize and enlighten members of the border communities geared towards proper boundary demarcation.

The stakeholders revealed that, Adamawa state shares interstate boundary with Borno,Taraba and Gombe states , stressing that the boundary has been successfully traced and provisionally demarcated.

They however commended the two State governments for its support and contributions in maintaining peace and security in the border areas.

In a related development, The Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth granted audience to the new Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Commander Yelwa Dio. He said he was on a familiarization visit to the Deputy Governor's office, reiterating his commitment at ensuring the safety of motorists and other road users.

The Sector Commander lauded the State Government for its efforts  in terms of traffic matters through the provision of needed infrastructure, soliciting for more support and cooperation of government among other stakeholders.
