In their effort to promote positive peace-building resilience,  Stakeholders in Adamawa State have convened  to review the last Coordination meeting and deliberated on how to ensure that the state Action Plan on Women Peace and Security is signed and launch before 24th June, 2022.
 

In his opening remark, the Peace Building Officer, Danish Refugee Council, Mrs. Bintu Abdul,  said, the second edition of the State Action Plan for Women Peace and Security funding will stop on 24th June 2022. Therefore, she challenged the stakeholders to do the needful and ensure that the document see light of the day for the protection, participation  and promotion of women in peace building in Adamawa state.
 

The stakeholders discussed on how to lobby and solicits for Government to sign  the document before launching the state action plan.
 

Lastly, they formed a 3 Man  Committee who are Members of Civil  Society Organisations  to collaborate with State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social development and planning commission to pay advocacy visit again and plead for signing the document.
 

Other issues discussed was on the position of child’s  right act and violence against persons prohibition.
