Deputy Governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta has reaffirmed the administration's continuous commitment towards having the best and quality education system in the state.

Th deputy Governor made this known while hosting officials from the Global Partnership for Education in her office Thursday on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The Global Partnership for Education is a world bank project aimed at transforming the education sector through improving quality teaching, accountability and transparency, targeting basic education.

Welcoming the officials led by Dr. Folake Olatunji David on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the number two citizen of Adamawa Professor Kaletapwa Farauta acknowledged that when children are well educated, the community and the country at large benefits.

She reemphasized that education remains the topmost priority of the fresh air administration in view of its importance in shaping the future of children, as well as growth and development of the nation.

While saying government is always determined to partner any groups, organizations and individuals ready to contribute with anything that can add value to the system, the deputy Governor also drew the attention of her visitors that procurement laws of Adamawa state must be abayed while running the program.

Professor Farauta further assured them of equitable distribution of teachers to urban and rural schools for optimal result.  

On the other hand, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Folake Olatunji David informed Professor Farauta that Adamawa is one of the three states sellected for the implementation of the project. She intimated her on their activities putting emphasise on result areas to include; improving learning outcome, teachers recruitment and deployment policy as well as additional classrooms for learners,  with a view of accelerating the way forward to achieve its goals.

Having congratulated professor Farauta on her emergence as the deputy Governor, Dr. David saluted the strong commitment demonstrated for the success of such development programs by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the state, soliciting for sustainability of the partnership.

The officials made case on the need for training and retraining of teachers, revealing that $1.5 Million (one point five million dollars ) was earmarked for the implementation of the program in the three pilot States, with Adamawa being the first implementor.
