The Adamawa State Government has inaugurated the Members of the State Boundry Committee with a call on them to eschew their individual interest and carry out the assignment entrusted them on with all sense of seriousness.
Deputy Governor , Professor Kaletapwa Farauta inaugurated the committee members on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri whose responsibility deals with issues affecting the boundaries.
While wishing them success, she challenged them to put in mind the sensitive nature of boundry issues, stressing that any mistake made can affect the present and the next coming generation.
The Deputy Governor reminded the committee that without peace, government cannot not able to carry out its developmental projects, advising them to work in unity towards the realization of its mandate.
Professor Farauta drew their attention on the fact that they are representing the state and the nation in the task before them, advising them to go back and study their files for direction as they put in efforts to address pending issues sorrounding some parts of Adamawa and even the national boundaries.
The number two citizen of Adamawa further informed the state boundry committee members that they are expected to keep their principals up to date about their activities related to boundry for desired result.
While reminding them on the need for collective interest to superceed individual interest, she encouraged them to do their work in the best interest of the state, with all sense of commitment, fairness and transparency.
The committee members include; the state commissioner of Justice Barrister Afraimu Jingi, Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, permanent secretary ministry of information Solomon Kumangar, state comptroller Immigration, commissioner of police and Director state security service among others.
