The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar presided a bid opening for the construction of Mubi roundabout flyover, reconstruction of adjoining streets in Jimeta and the construction of 20.8 kilometres Adamawa super Highway from Welcome to Yola along Numan road down to A
A Lawan junction.

The bidding companies that were in attendance are:
1. Rocad Construction, Mothercat,
2. Geld Construction and Triacta Nigeria limited.

After the official introduction and projection of prices by the Director Procurement, Mrs Rabi Aminu Madani, Honourable  Abubakar noted that the exercise is inline with the procurement requirements and urged the Technical Committee to work on the document submitted by the Four Construction Companies immediately.

 The Commissioner also reiterate on Fintiri's priority in infrastructural development which was captured in the 8 Points Agenda of fresh air level 2.0.

In a separate remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Engineer Suleman Mohammed assured that every document summited by the Four Construction Companies will be scrutinized because the bidding is just one amongst the process and urged prospective winners of the construction work to ensures quality, diligence as well as timely completion of work.

Yunusa Mohammed of the State Bureau of Public Procurement also ensures transparency and prompt attention by the Bureau. Also speaking was the State Chairman, Nigeria Society of Engineers ( NSE) Engineer Mundi Musa Ibrahim and Haruna Yakubu from Chartered Institution of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigerian ( CIPSMN) who commended the process and described it as transparent and fairly.

Lastly, the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Suleiman Mohammed wished the Four Companies good luck and advised those that may not make it to exercise patience as they may subsequently make it as  infrastructural development progresses in the state.
