Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has decorated the two newly promoted Nigerian Police Officers attached to the deputy Governor's office Friday, with a call on them to sustain the spirit of hard work, commitment and dedication that earned them the promotion.

The decoration followed recent promotions approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC) for deserving officers with the requisite experience, years of dedicated service, among other cretaria.


The Police Officers were Inspector, Akinse Rimamshong and Inspector Jummai Ishaku who were elevated to the rank of Assistant Supritendant of police.

Professor Farauta while decorating the Officers charged them to continue to uphold the rule of law, and support the government’s effort at ensuring the safety and security of lives and property, she said is a thing of joy because we are one family here, we join in celebrating your upliftment and we pray to God to help you take your responsibilities more seriously because promotion means more responsibilities.

"We hope that people behind you will see a good example in you as people who have been promoted and are willing to keep serving in the police force", Farauta said.
"people who look up to you are happy that you have been lifted up and will learn something from you. I am sure if there were things you were doing nonchalantly as a police officer, now with this upliftment you should be able to learn to do it better."


She drew their attention on the fact that government is committed to peace, security, and development of Adamawa, reassuring that the fresh air administration will continue to partner with security agencies through giving them necessary support to combat crime and criminality for a lasting peace, unity and tranquility.

The Deputy Governor reminded the officers to see their elevation to new rank as designed by God, and ensure the reciprocation of their promotion by being dedicated, committed and deligent to duty.

Professor Farauta wished them well in service, even as she advised the officers to remain focused and live up to expectations.

In an interview with newsmen shortly after their decoration, ASP Akinse Rimamshong expressed happiness saying their promotion to new rank has opened another chapter in their lives.

While promising to remain committed, resolute  and dedicated to duty, he encouraged fellow officers not to relent, but face their primary assignment with all sense of patriotism.
