RECOGNITION: Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Energy Dev. Bags Award.

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Honourable Adamu Atiku Abubakar received an Award of Recognition as an 'Achieving Commissioner of the Year' by the Airport Car Hire Association, Yola Branch in the early hours of today Thursday at his office.

The presentation of the Award was made by the Chairman of the Association, Mr A. Usman who said, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar is worthy recognition following the giant strides he exhibited in piloting road constructions and maintenance within the State Capital and beyond. Especially, the construction of Aliyu Mustapha Flyover and the Grade Interchange that decongested traffic, improved security and also Beautified the State. He pledges their support for the administration of the day as the result of its unique achievements that has never been experienced before in Adamawa State.

In his response, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar appreciated the Association and thanked Governor, Amadu Umaru Fintiri for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of his dear State in the capacity that had he found himself. He referred to himself as a foot soldier because according to him, all the infrastructural developments regarding road construction and maintenance mentioned by the Chairman wouldn't have been possible without the good Vision, Mission and courage of his Excellency Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri therefore, big kudos goes to him.

Adamu maintained  that, the next four years is going to be another busy and vigorous for them because the Governor has already charged them to double up their efforts and be creative, innovative and always think outside the box and according to him the current set of commissioners are one of the finest in Adamawa because he was privilleged to had two council meetings with them, therefore God's willing they are not going to fail the Governor and the good people of his state.

Lastly, the Commissioner applauded the efforts of Association for finding him worthy of Recognition and promised that he will continue to extend his hands of fellowship to his people as he always do because he believes in humanitarian activities.
