Shehu Isa Ardo, Head of Civil Service and representative of His Excellency, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, welcomed all to the event and said, the United Nations set the Youths Day to celebrate Youths around the world. He  said,  the theme for this year's celebration is timely because it would serve as a clarion call for the youths and make them vanguard  in  saving the entire echo system. He also urged the youths  to keep in mind the need to develop strategies and to create ideas that would enhanced the safety of the youths entirely. He commended the leadership of the State Ministry  of Youths and Sports for making the event a success.

 
The Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria Adamawa State Comrade, Ajino Delo  appreciated the Executive Governor , Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State for his support towards this year's International Youths Day celebration   after 13 years of no celebration. He said,  youths inclusion should be paramount in running the affairs of the State because when they are involved, there will be greater achievement. The capacity of the youths can not be  underrated, he added.  He cautioned the youths to shun drug abuse, gender based violence etc .

A paper presentation was made by Mr Moses Bakari. Mr. Bakari centered his paper on the  theme of this year's celebration which says; " Green Skill for Youths Towards a Sustainable World."  He said, " Be the Change you want to see ." He said, who doesn't want to go far goes alone, he who want to go far goes with people." Bakari concluded.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mal. Muktar Aminu Tukur  represented the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports. He expressed gratitude to the Youth Governor, His Excellency, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for making this year's International Youths Day  a success.  He promised the youths of the State that more is coming for a better  tomorrow. Again, he urged the youths to be of good behavior after the line of events  from  8th-128th  of August, 2023.  The events featured a press briefing, peace football match, hospital visit to children's ward at Specialist Hospital , visit to the State orphanage, School debates, trees planting and a grand finale with a paper presentation.
