BREAKING:Gov Fintiri Proscribes Unregistered Private Colleges of Health.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has prescribed all unregistered private colleges and schools that are health related in the State. The Governor disclosed this, Tuesday, in his office Government House Yola, to  Correspondents, shortly after meeting with Head of Tertiary Institutions in the State.

The Governor said that the proscription remains until otherwise the affected Schools and Colleges meet the requirement and have been accredited by the Ministry of Health. He explained that the decision was taken to strengthen and reposition the Institutions in the state. 

The Governor directed that with immediate effect, the School of Health Michika which is located in Mubi to move to Michika. Calling on the host community to give it maximum cooperation for the smooth taken off while his administration is making necessary arrangement for the expansion of the institution with students' accommodation.

He revealed that in the meeting, the Government has approved to send high power visitation panel to College of Agriculture Ganye to reposision it for optimal performance.

Governor Fintiri disclosed that for proper coordination and professionalism his administration has resolved to move the State College of Nursing and Midwifery to Ministry of Health and Human Services.
While College of Legal Studies is to move to Ministry of Justice as supervising ministry.
