DEVELOPMENT: Fintiri Administration Reassured of It Commitment to Partner with National Economic Council Core Working Group.

Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has re-assured of Government's commitment to partner with the National Economic Council Core Working Group of Human Capital Development Program working towards improving the well being of its citizens.

The Deputy Governor gave the assurance when she granted audience to the group in her office Thursday, 21st September 2023.

The National Economic Council core working group under the office the Vice President highlighted out of School Children, Malnutrition, Adult Survival, Youth and Women empowerment as some of the areas of focus.

Addressing the officials, Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta informed them that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri remains a passionate leader to Education, Health, Entrepreneurship Development amongst others for the overall Development of the State.

She said as Government, hands were already on deck to ensure people benefit from such interventions, even as the Deputy Governor, promised to set up the State Steering Committee in that regard.

Farauta noted that their visit has given the State a boost, adding that the State will ensure its priorities are well budgeted for despite the lean resources.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the Human Capital Program and the team leader Yosola Akinbi intimated the Deputy Governor on the purpose of their visit which is to discuss the road map for moving forward on Human Capital Programmes and to see how to set up the State Steering Committee, to foster their activities.

"The Councils consist of Commissioners of Health, Education and all the agencies related to Labour Force Participation as members". Akinbi said.

While revealing that the Steering Committee at the State levels are chaired by the Deputy Governors, she explained that their vision is to set a goal as a Country to have a Healthy, Educated and a Productive Nigerians by the year 2030.

Yosola Akinbi added that one of their core mandate is also to have a data and good Governance at both regional and national levels to improve Human and Capital Development.
