In his quest for a peaceful and condusive atmosphere for culture and tourism to strife for a better Adamawa, the Chairman Adamawa State Commissioner's Forum and Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Honourable Babadoke Aloysius has appealed to the people of Leko-Koma to join hands and defeat the common enemy of the area. 

 The Commissioner made this statement during this year's MAPEO CULTURAL CARNIVAL which took place at Aiden Jalo Square Mapeo.  He stressed the need for utmost support from the monarchs and other stakeholders in the area to end the menace kidnapping. 

The Chiroma Mapeo further expressed readiness to uplift the standard of Cultural Event in the State. He equally appreciated the Governor, His Excellency RT Honourable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for doing excellently well in security and  other sectors in the State.  He called on them to pray and support the Governor to succeed. 
The carnival is a routine celebration to mark the new year festivities and it attracts people from within the Leko-Koma and Adamawa State entirely.

The event was organised by the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Babadoke Aloysius and was attended by the Adviser to the Governor on PPSMB, Hon. Idris Salihu, Executive Chairman Jada LGA ably represented, State High Court Judge, Christopher Mapeo, Kojoli Development Area Administrator, Usman Abubakar, District Heads of Leko, Mapeo, Koma-2, Representative of District Head of Yelli amongst others. 
Highlight of the occasion includes, traditional dances from different ethnic groups, Chamba, Leko, Koma, Verre amongst others.
