INisa'u Sunnah Foundation, paid a courtesy visit to Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, so as to strenghten synergy between the duos.
Nisa'u sunnah is a Non Governmental Islamic Aid group that provides humanitarian services to less previllaged, Orphans, Widows, Pilgrims and other vulnerable Muslim Ummah in the society.
The Director, first Aid JIBWIS, Women Wing, Hajiya Hauwa Hamisu Hammajoda, led a delegation of the Nisa'u sunnah first Aid group to the office of the Executive Secretary, Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Wednesday.
The Director, said the aim of the visit was to strenghten synergy between the Commission and their foundation. Also, they intimated the Executive Secretary about humanitaria services they have been rendering to intending pilgrims before departure to Saudi Arabia, at Yola International Airport, Hajj Camp, since 2016.
Some of the Services rendered to pilgrims by the organisation include; provision of meals ( berakfast and lunch), lifting their luggages, assisting them in all forms before boarding at the Airport.
She enumerated some challenges faced by their foundation which include; lack of financial support to prepare adequate meals, vehicles to convey their staff and an office space for cooking at the camp.
In his response, the Executive Secretary, of the Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu, expressed his apprecition for their visit, lauded their good gesture and promised to work in synergy with any organisation rendering humanitarian sevices at Hajj Camp, adding that his doors are always open to any organisation toward improving Hajj operations. He assured them that the Board has taken into account to support each organisation rendering services at Hajj Camp financially.
Lastly, the Executive Secretary announced that NAHCON has extended Hajj payment to 31 January, 2024.
