SPORTS:COMMISSIONER YOUTHS AND SPORTS INSPECTS PROGRESS OF WORK AT THE SPORTS COUNCIL.

The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Youths and Sports Adamawa State, Barrister Wali Yakubu has called on staff of Adamawa State Sports Council to support the contractor handling the renovation at the State Sports Council.

He made the call Wednesday at the council premises when he visited the on going renovation in the Council.

It could be recalled that the building  was destroyed by a bomb blast since the year Twenty Sixteen 2016 which has left the staff of the council without a place to stay. They had to sit under trees to carry out their office work. Untill the coming of the project master, the Governor of Adamawa State, RT. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri that has now open a new leaf for Sports in Adamawa.

The Commissioner expressed delight with level and quality of work. He  urged staff of the Council to work towards the forth coming Governor's Cup Inter Schools competition to catch them young.

Barrister Wali added that the RT. Honourable Ahmadu Fintiri  is leaving no one behind called on them to support the administration.

In their separate addresses, the Permanent Secretary Alhhaji Muktar Tukur, Director  Sports Development Mr Iliya Ayuba and Acting Director Sports Council. Mr Daniel Ahmed expressed delight towards the  level of work at the sports arena. They applauded the contractor and thanked the staff of the Council for their patience and understanding and urged them to maintain the tempo.

On  his part, the contractor handling the project, Alhaji Abubakar Jika said work is at Ninety Nine percent completion and staff of the council will soon move to their offices pending when it will be handed over officially. He also thanked them for supporting him to achieve the desired goal.
