Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Keletapwa George Faurata, has lauded the efforts and initiatives of Villanova Old Boys Association for drilling two new water boreholes in the school premises for students. 

Professor Keletapwa stated this in her remarks, while commissioning the two newly drilled water boreholes by the Villanova Old Boys Association, at the 64th Founders Day Celebration in Numan, Adamawa State.

The event, took place on Saturday, 10th February, 2024 at Villanova Government College, which attracted Old Students including Government Officials, Clergymen, Dignitaries from all walks of life who graced the 64th, Founders Day Celebration.
Professor Faurata, who was speaking through the Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy, Honourable Neido Geoffrey Kofulto, at the event said, Governor Fintiri's administration is keen and committed in ensuring quality Education and a conducive learning Environment for its citizens.

She noted that a State of Emergency was declared on the Education Sector on assumption of office, affirming that, the sector has today, received a boost in all aspects.

Professor Keletapwa, urged VOBA Alumni Association to be creative and stand united, so as to always find special ways to give back to their Alma Mata, as well as creating enabling learning Environment for the younger ones and Education to strive. Farauta, encouraged other students to be worthy ambassadors of the school.
While speaking at the event, the Hama Bachama, Daniel Ismaila Shaga, who was represented by his Secretary Mr. Ambrose Tayinshi, applauded the effort made by the (VOBA), he said they stand out as a committed Association in all the Alumni in Numan.

His Royal Highness, Hama Bachama Daniel Shaga Ismaila said, "On behalf of Numan Federation, and the Bachama Traditional Council, I convey our sincere gratitude to (VOBA) Alumni Association for the continue support and unending efforts towards uplifting the Standard of Learning in the Region and the State.
"I will continue to encourage the Association in its strength and effort, I will also use this platform to call on the Old Boys and Girls of the other schools which florished in Numan, in the past to consider setting up effective and beneficial Alumni Organisations through which they may render needed support for the upcoming generation." Hama Bachama said.

Bishop Edwin Jarumai, who is the National President of Villanova Old Boys Association, in his keynote address, he aknowledged the presence of Dignitaries and  thanked the commitment of its members.

He encouraged students and members of VOBA, to continue and keep up with the tempo of which they have started. Appreciated the efforts of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in promoting Education in the State.

Earlier on, in her welcome address the principal, Villanova Government College Numan, Mrs Gloria Bwarato Menzotagowa, appreciated Adamawa State Government for their efforts and changing the narratives of the entire State for the better especially on Education. 

She thanked the guests for squeesing time out of busy schedules to graced the historic occasion.
