The Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi has on Monday, commisioned an Administrative Block and Analytical Laboratory of the North East Zonal office in Yola.

The Administrative Block and Analytical Laboratory, Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi is located at Danbaba Suntai Road, Karewa Extension Jimeta, aimed towards pursuing and improving the socio  economic activities of the nation, through effective and efficient technological and administrative services.

Adamawa State Deputy Governor Professor Keletapwa George Faurata,  who was the special guest of honor at the event, commended the effort of the Agency, stressed that State Government has also been pursuing enabling environment for suitable agricultural programs.

She said no doubt Adamawa is the right place for this project, the Administrative Block and Analytical Laboratory will practically function well for appropriate service delivery as well as its utilization for effective purpose for the zone.

The Minister Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnadi, represented by the Permanent Secretary Esuabana Nko Asanye acknowledged that Adamawa citizens have proven to be a scientifically and technologically advanced people in the scheme of things. 

George said the institute is pursuing it mandate centered on accelerating industrialization in Nigeria, as it has developed technologies that promotes the ideals of developing and enhancing entrepreneurial skills.

According to the Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi Dr. Jummai Tutuwa Adamu, said this prompted them to take development to all the nooks and crannies of the country which necessitated the establishment of the Zonal offices in the country so as to harness both mineral and human resources for the advancement of the nation innovatively.

Adamu revealed that bringing the development close to the people will make develop some of the untapped resources for the benefit of these zones as well as to improve their economic base and making them self reliance.
