Governor Fintiri reiterated government’s commitment to provide conducive environment for optimal performance, adding that government will sustain the payment of 10,000 monthly allowance for corps members to mitigate the effects of inflation currently being faced.

The Governor gave his word, while declaring open the 2024 Batch A, Stream One induction course for 1336 corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp Damare, Girei Local Government Area on Tuesday.

The oath of allegiance was administered on the corps members by the State Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, represented by Justice Helen Nuhu Hammanjoda, 
While addressing the Corps members shortly after, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by his Deputy Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, advised them to utilize their stay in the camp to learn skills for self reliant and to be productive, as well as contribute to the society.

The Governor noted that one of the mandates of the scheme is promoting National Unity and Integration.

The State Coordinator NYSC Jingi Denis and the state chairman NYSC governing board Barrister Wali Yakubu saluted the result oriented leadership of Governor Fintiri, pledging their unflinching support, even as they urge corps members to embrace the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development training for them to be job creators rather than job seekers.

Highlight of the opening ceremony was a presentations to the admiration of guests.
