Child Protection in Humanitarian Actions (CPHA) (Support for Reconciliation and Reintegration) had a Town Hall Meeting on Reintegration of Children and people Affected by Conflict. Organised by Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, and Supported by United Children's Fund (UNICEF) On Tuesday 20th February, 2024 at Duragi Hotel Yola. 

The aim of the meeting is to consult with Adamawa state Traditional, Religious, Community and Youth leaders on Community based Reconciliation and Reintegration.

The meeting was declared open by Hassan Mohammad, Director Child Department of the Ministry and Munira Mustapha, a Communications Specialist of UNICEF were they both welcomed the participants seek for their views  and contributions towards the objectives of the gathering. 

Welcome address was delivered by the Hon Commissioner for Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Wunfe B Anthony who welcomed and thanked the participants for honouring the Ministry's invitation for the meeting. She highlighted the Ministry's support in collaboration with UNICEF in ways of reducing the emergency crisis that affects children in the state by providing the following: Skills Acquisition training, Socio -economic Reintegration, Provision of psychosocial support to children in camp and Host communities,Community Case Management, Family Tracing and Reunification 
Gender Based (GBV) prevention and Response, Referral of clients to appropriate organisations for needed support. Capacity Building/Refresher training for social workers and community volunteers, Support to foster and Kinship parents. She therefore urged participants to make maximum contributions towards the success of the meeting. 

At the end of the meeting, participants were grouped to discuss Adamawa Reintegration context, challenges and the way forward.
