COMMUNAL CLASH:Adamawa State Government calls for Peace.

Adamawa State Secretary to the State Government Barrister Auwal Tukur has on Friday, 15th March, 2024 led Government delagation and the state service commanders to Numan following the recent communal clashes that erupted in Selti community of the Local Council. 

 

Barrister Auwal Tukur, during a peace talk with the affected community leaders said, Adamawa State Government will not in any way tolerate any attempt to jeopardise the peaceful environment set by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's Administration for peaceful co-existance.

He tasked the warring parties to keep aside their difference and adopt peace for meaningful change and societal Development.

Tukur said, the State Government remains focused on it mandate of maintaining peace, unity and stability in the society. As well this pave way to engaged both leaders from the affected community on peace talk.

Earlier at the palace of his Royal Majesty Dr. Daniel Ismail Shaga, the delagation commended the effort he put in place to prevent the further escalation of the clash that occurred on Tuesday 12th March, 2024. 

His Royal Majesty Dr. Ismail Shaga acknowledged the prompt intervention of Government, noting that circle of conflict is unnecessary and avoidable and he also made a case to look deep into the remote and the immediate cause of the crises, so as to bring a lasting peace in the Local Council.

In their own part, the youth leader Numan Local Government Ismail Murey and the Fulani representative of Numan kingdom, Maikano Ahmadu said misunderstanding is part of life,  appreciated the switch response of His Excellency's Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for returning peace in the community.
