DEVELOPMENT:Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Farauta, Commissions Water Projects In Fufore Council Area.

Adamawa State, Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Faurata has reiterated state government's commitment in providing portable drinking water to people of Fufore and the state at large.

She stated this while commissioning water project  in Fufore Local Government Area and stressed that the gesture was part of campaign promises made to people of the area.

Over time, basic amenities such as portable water has been the major basic need for people of Fufore considering the important role water play in the lives of people. 

The Deputy Governor, explained that water project is part of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's Eight points Agenda, noting that developmental projects in the State are part of this government priority.

She said, " Water is life and who ever gives you water has giving you life, the Governor and Government of Adamawa State has just brought lives to you as well as your doorsteps, water is necessary for the survival of all living."

"I call on every stakeholder to call on our subjects as well ensure that we lives at peace with one another, we are each other's brothers and Adamawa State is one big family."

She urged people of Fufore community to take full ownership of the water project in their domain as well as ensure proper maintenance so as to serve them for longer period.

The Deputy Governor tasked Traditional leaders, Chairman as well as Council Members that the security agencies should be supported, especially those protecting Government facilities so that those facilities won't be vandalized by miscreants.

Also speaking, Hon. Commissioner for Water Resources Audu  Ayuba Tanko said, the projects would not have been a reality without political will of His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. 

He revealed that Gurin, Wuro-boki, Dasin-Hausa and Malabu communities in Fufore have also benefitted from such gesture executed by the State Government.

Earlier, in his remark, the Executive Chairman Fufore Local Government, Usman Hamman Tukur Daware, appreciated the unwavering support of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, noting that the gesture will mitigate the hardship of people towards shortage of clean drinking water in the Council Area.

Correspondent reports that the revitalization of the council water treatment plant by Fintiri led Administration, which is supported by the European Union has brought relief to many households in Five communities of Fofure Local Government Area.
