Adamawa State Deputy Governor alongside Barrister Auwal Tukur, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday and the Commissioner in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry among other Government officials visited the scene of the fire outbreak that occurred in Yola South Market on Monday.
The fire outbreak which occurred early hours of Monday has raised down many shops as well destroyed goods worth millions of naira.
While at the scene to sympathised with the victims, Professor Farauta, emphasised that Government would remain steadfast in its support towards the affected traders, she urged traders to see the colossal damage as an act of God, and pray to prevent a future occurrence as well as appealed to traditional leaders and traders union on the need for spacing of shops in the Market, for easy movement incase of any emergency.
