As a dedicated public servant, the Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Energy Developmemt,  Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar has undertaken a comprehensive routine inspection of ongoing and proposed projects sites in the State Capital.

This proactive approach reflects his commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of development initiatives and the efficient utilization of resources for the benefit of the good people of Adamawa state as mandated by His Excellency, RT. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

During the inspection tour, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, alongside his Permanent Secretary Engr. Suleiman Mohammed meticulously assessed the progress of esthetic design at the underpass of the Police roundabout flyover, the ongoing 20.8km Adamawa Super Highway dual carriage and the proposed sites of intersections along Numan federal highway and A .A Lawan junction.

In his earlier supervision, the Hon. Commissioner evaluated some factors such as quality of work, adherence to timelines, compliance to specifications/regulations, pace of construction works, and challenges.

In addition to the task of his oversight functions, Hon. Adamu Atiku Abubakar also explored proposed project sites along Numan Road and engaged  in discussions with community leaders and residents to gather inputs and feedback. This collaborative approach ensures that proposed projects aligns with the needs and priorities of the community, promoting inclusive development and effective utilization of resources.

While responding to questions from Journalists, the Hon. Commissioner stated that  the art design works at the underpass are commendable because they are sending messages by depicting the diversity of Adamawa cultures.

He also noted that the construction of two interchanges at A. A Lawan junction and along Numan- Yola Road has been approved in order to channelize traffic flow as against having abrupt junctions on the 20.8km Adamawa Super Highway.

He maintained that the construction of Adamawa Super Highway and the two intersections  will going to provide driving safety, saves travel time, saves vehicle operating costs, and also saves accidental related costs.
It will going to open up the city for more developments, he says.

In the same vein, Hon Adamu added that realignment of some sharp curves is ongoing on some portions of the Super Highway to ensure driving safety in line with the international highways designs and standards in order to avoid unnecessary accidents.

In another development, the Hon. Commissioner noted that compensations will be done to the affected owners of genuine properties or structures that fall on the proposed construction sites of the interchange.

He lastly commends the efforts of Messrs Triacta Nigeria Limited for given Adamawa state quality works, which are always completed behind schedules.
