Adamawa State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (ADSACA), has empowered 90 People Living With HIV with capital to embarked on small scale business.The Director Care and Support of the Agency, Mr Dauda Haske, made this known in Yola while addressing a meeting of Network of People With HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).
Adamawa State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (ADSACA), has empowered 90 People Living With HIV with capital to embarked on small scale business.The Director Care and Support of the Agency, Mr Dauda Haske, made this known in Yola while addressing a meeting of Network of People With HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).
Haske said each beneficiary was given N20, 000 through the State Ministry of Women Affairs and that 72 members of NEPWHAN were also trained in
various skills with the collaboration of the state Special Project Unit
and National Directorate of Employment (NDE). "The Agency also assisted NEPWHAN in paying its office
rent as well as funded NEPWHAN members to attend meetings in Abuja."
Haske said.
Speaking at the occasion, the Caretaker Committee Chairman
of NEPWHAN, Ms Farah James, lauded ADSACA for its support to the
association.Ms James reiterated the commitment of NEPWHAN to collaborate
with the Agency in mobilizing support for the sustain fight against the
pandemic. She said the meeting was called to address issues affecting the Association.
