Farmers/ Herdsmen Crisis: Governor Bindow Constitute panel of inquiry...
The Adamawa state Government have set up an administrative panel of inquiry to investigate the recent clashes between herdsmen and farmers in some parts of the state.
The Honourable Commissioner ministry of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh disclosed this to Journalists at the end of state security meeting held at the council chambers Government House Yola.
The Commissioner explained that the panel will investigate the immediate and remote causes of the unfortunate incidents in the affected areas.
The committee was also mandated to ascertain the level of damage to lives and properties as well as to recommend lasting solution that would sustain peace and harmony and advise government on how to prevent future occurance.
The panel has Justice Nathan Musa as Chairman
Abubakar S. Magaji (state Chairman of Muslim Council) - member
Bishop Mike Moses (state Chairman of CAN) - member
Alhaji Ja'oji Isa (state Chairman of Miyetti Allah cattle breeders Association) - member
Bishop Hebron Fada National (president of the Pendine Bwatte) - member
Hon. Christopher Jalo - member
while Barrister Bashiru Hamidu is to serve as secretary
The panel has three weeks within which to report it's findings.
