HEALTH: Governor Bindow Approved The Release of N4m To AKTH

Adamawa State Ministry of Health Delegation Visit Isa Hamman at Malam Aminu kano Teaching Hospital 

The Adamawa State Government has successfully  release the sum  of Four Million Naira   (N4 ,000,000.00) to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) for the treatment and kidney transplant  of Isa Hamman whose Kindey was mistakenly   removed by a surgeon in Yola.

The Hon. Commissioner state ministry of health Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar said His Excellency has approved the payment of four million naira N4,000,000.00 in to the account of Aminu kano Teaching Hospital through federal government remita system to enable the hospital undergo the  transplant.

 “We have paid the money today,  state government would continue to support the patient to ensure the success of the transplant and  his speedy recovery.”


“The administration of His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow is very committed to the good health and general wellbeing of its citizens. ”

Dr. Fatima also confirm the earlier release of the sum of  N1 million to the relatives  of the patient who are currently staying with him in the hospital to take care of their upkeep  and patient haemodialysis.



In the same development,  the Honourable Commissioner wishes to announce and call on international and national donor agencies, civil society organisations, and wealthy individuals to come to the aids of the patient. The government and patient relatives efforts to get a kidney donor did not yield positive results
