The Adamawa Government is to improve on the accommodation of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members at their Orientation Camp.

Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa made this known on Monday while receiving the House of Representatives Committee on Youths and Social Development in Government House Yola.

Bindow said that the present Camp was resumed under a `fire brigade\ approach, adding that the state would improve on the accommodation for the wellbeing of the Corps Members.

He said that his administration had always contributed immensely to wellbeing of the Corps Members, adding that he had demonstrated it severally by visiting their Camp during Orientations.

He commended the House Committee for coming to see things  for themselves, adding that their presence would also encouraged him to do more.

Earlier, Mr Adekola Shegun, Chairman of the Committee thanked the Governor for his reception and respect for the Corps Members.

Shegun said that the committee had decided to visit the State for the good story on the relocation of Internally Displace Persons (IDPs) out of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.

According to him, that has brought about the full resumption of orientation exercise in the state.

He however, urged the Governor to improve on the well being of the Corps Members by providing befitting accommodation at the orientation camp.

``Your relocation of IDPs out of the permanent Orientation Camp for full resumption of camp has informed our visit to this state.

``We inspected their facilities and the welfare the Corps Members and we have discovered that you have performed tremendously.

``We inspected their hostels and we have to urge you to assist in the area of accommodation especially as their rooms are not ventilated and they do not have fans so, we are much concern about their accommodation.

``We know you can do that because your reception and hospitality has cut across all people,’ Shegun said.
